Welcome to the Chagford Singers

The community choir for Chagford and Dartmoor in Devon

The Chagford Singers are a friendly and sociable non-auditioning choir with high performance standards and between 40-50 members. We give three concerts each year, often with orchestra and professional soloists. We also sing carols in local venues and do other occasional performances.

We aim to make singing fun whilst taking our music seriously. Our enthusiastic dynamic conductor, Christopher Fletcher, has led us since 2004. Recent successful concerts have ranged from Haydn’s “The Creation” to Carl Orff’s "Carmina Burana”.

We always welcome new singers of all standards, making this an ideal choir both for those with little experience or who have not sung for some years and also for those who have wide experience or who may be potentially interested in solo work since for some concerts soloists are drawn from the members of the choir.
